After completing the study, students will acquire the following competences to: analyse feasibility of the information system in terms of costs and benefits and develop a business plan of information system development, analyse business area or problem for which one develops application, independently or by collaborating in team, and to collect, analyse and specify user and other relevant requirements (functional and non-functional), analyse market, recognize opportunities and manage customer relationships throughout the application lifecycle, design databases, document development process and application implementation, test results, interpret structure and content of the program code developed in default programming language and developmental environment, create computer programs for reports, inquiries, etc., communicate internally and externally, directly and through the use of modern technologies, encourage, apply and promote professional standards and ethics of IT professionals in the manner and quality of doing business, and regulations related to intellectual property protection, privacy protection, security and data protection, convert default specifications and problem solving models to algorithms, customize the parameterized applications to a specific business situation, apply and use methods, techniques and aids for IT project management, including scope, task, resource and outcome results` management, all in accordance with the plan, methodology and standards applied, apply cost estimation methods and potential benefits from the application of information technology and other business analytical methods, check compliance of information technology with legal and regulatory framework, develop a personal portfolio, network in IT, train lifelong learning, acquire industrial certifications, participate in open-source programs based on distance learning and similar, develop user interfaces and business software components by using input specifications and models and applying modern development tools and environments, including mobile and web technologies, manage capacities and finances for IT services it provides, including time consuming tracking and other resources and accounting and reporting per work order or service level contract.
