My Erasmus experience in Šibenik has been extremely positive and rewarding. Adapting to the new environment was easier than I expected thanks to the support of the University and the welcoming attitude of local people. Although there were some cultural and language differences, they never became an obstacle and instead helped me become more open-minded and confident. As a nursing student, I completed my clinical placement in a hospital, where I had the opportunity to learn about a different healthcare system, improve my communication skills, and gain valuable professional experience. The healthcare staff were very supportive and made me feel included throughout my placement.

In my free time, I enjoyed exploring Šibenik and the beautiful Croatian coast, meeting people from different countries, and experiencing a new culture. The most memorable part of my Erasmus exchange was the combination of professional learning, personal growth, and the friendships I made along the way. This experience helped me become more independent, adaptable, and confident, while also giving me a broader perspective on nursing and international collaboration. I would highly recommend the University of Applied Sciences in Šibenik to future Erasmus students because of its supportive environment, valuable learning opportunities, and the unique experience of living in such a beautiful city.
