Dr. Ljubo Runjić was born on April 12, 1984 in Split. In 2002, he finished the V. Gymnasium "Vladimir Nazor" in Split, and in 2006 he graduated at the Faculty of Law, University of Split. In 2012, he trained at the Hague Academy for International Law. In 2015, he defended his doctoral disertation at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb and obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Science in the field of law, branch of international law.
Since 2008, he has been employed at the Šibenik University of Applied Sciences, where as a professor of professional studies he teaches the courses Basics of International Law, Law of International Organizations, Law of the European Union and European Integrations and Institutions of the European Union. He was a guest lecturer at universities in Gdańsk (Poland), Istanbul (Turkey), La Coruna (Spain), Nitra (Slovakia), Ternopil (Ukraine) and Ústí nad Labem (Czech Republic). Since 2019, he has held the position of dean of the Šibenik university of Applied Sciences.
He is the author of three books: Arbitration between Croatia and Slovenia - the Anatomy of a Failed Fraud (2021), Law of International Organizations (2019) and International Legal Subjectivity of International Organizations in Contemporary International Law (2016) and numerous scientific and professional papers in the field of international law.
He is a member of the Croatian Academy of Legal Sciences, the Croatian Association for International Law and the International Law Association. He is the chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Association of Universities of Applied Sciences of the Republic of Croatia.
