The aim of the course is to enable students to acquire knowledge about the history of European integrations and the institutions of the European Union.

1. Analyze the historical, political, economic and diplomatic context of European integration.
2. Distinguish the main directions of European integration.
3. Show the spread of European integration
4. Comment on the legal nature of the European Union
5. Assess the further course of development of European integration processes
6. Explain the institutional structure of the European Union
7. Identify the rights and powers of the institutions of the European Union
8. Evaluate the effect of European law on the Croatian national legal order
