The aim of the course is to acquaint the student with the basics of informatics and nursing informatics
and its application in the field of health care. Thus, the student and acquired knowledge and
skills could be applied in computer communication and searching scientific databases
data and the application of information technology in nursing documentation.

1. Explain fundamental terms of informatics in health informational system (BIS, CEZIH)
2. Apply computer techniques in the process of nursing care
3. Select relevant scientific data bases which apply to the nursing care process, and for learning and research
4. Apply IT technology to all communication processes in health institutions
5. Apply IT knowledge in the process of advancements in nursing documentation and protection of health and personal data of patients
