To acquaint students with the fundamental principles of general pathology, the basic principles of organ and organ system pathology, the causes of various diseases, and the morphological changes and their consequences.

1. explain fundamental principles of general pathologies and fundamental principles of pathologies in organs and organic systems
2. explain the functional consequences of morphological change
3. recognize morphological changes in cells, tissues and organs
4. identify the causes and mechanisms of disease
