Train students to be able to comprehend, effectively understand and recognize fundamental statistical procedures and methods; Provide theoretical and practical knowledge which enables students to develop and apply acquired knowledge, independently and/or within a team.

1. Choose appropriate descriptive statistics methods, apply them and draw conclusions about observed phenomena
2. To prepare tabular and graphical data representation of statistical data and comment on the displays
3. To calculate and to interpret measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion
4. To perform correlation and regression analysis, to comment the results and to draw a conclusion about the relationship
   between variables
5. Identify the type of time series, and examine the dynamics with appropriate indicators
6. To estimate the linear trend equation and to apply it for forecasting future values of the time series
7. To set the statistical hypothesis and to conduct the chi square test
