Definition of the environment in tourism; The importance of nature for leisure and tourism; Tourist resources and criteria for the evaluation of natural environments from the point of view of convenience for the development of tourism; Protection of tourist resources and ecological systems; Degradation and negative consequences in the use of space in tourism; Problems, goals and measures for the protection of natural areas; Environmental policies in tourism.

1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of course content by defining and describing basic concepts in ecology, nature protection and environment in context of sustainable tourism
2. Analyze and compare the relationship between natural resources and tourism
3. Give an example and interpret the impact of tourism on natural resources (air, water and sea, soil, flora and fauna) and propose measures to reduce the negative impact of tourism on nature in accordance with the principles of sustainable tourism
4. comment and critically evaluate the actions of tourism stakeholders as well as responsible experts in accordance with the principles of sustainability and responsibility
5. use materials and tools to search scientific and professional literature in their native and English languages
6. Present the acquired knowledge, ideas, problems and solutions independently and in a team
