To acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for planning and implementing medical care of patients with cardiac arrest.

1. list the symptoms, specific and less specific signs of acute and chronic heart failure
2. to implement delegated interventions related to the immediate, medium-term and long-term goals of treatment of patients with acute and chronic heart failure (diagnostic and therapeutic procedures)
3. to apply the prescribed therapy to heart rhythm disturbances and to treat gas exchange in the blood and other complications
4. to perform all procedures related to the safety and protection of the patient (to prevent intrahospital infection, falls, skin breakdown)
5. to educate the patient and members of his/her family about care after discharge from hospital (nutrition, activities, rest, sleeping, prophylaxis of battery failure if the patient has a dead heart)
