To acquaint students with the impact of healthy lifestyles on preventing the development of chronic non-communicable diseases, as well as on maintaining mental health. Additionally, to introduce students to the concept of active and healthy aging.

1. identify risk factors for development of chronic non-infectious diseases
2. explain influence of healthy lifestyles on prevention of development of chronic non- communicable diseases
3. analyse processes bound with physiology aging
4. explain the need for interdisciplinary approaches in care for older persons
